Real-time Attitude Display
Shows current time, PCA pointing, and position along the orbit.
This display was originally intended to do a LOT more than it does now, hence all the [not implemented] notes below. Due to reduction of programming staff, these options may never work.
At the top is a bar of options controls. The only one you really need to know about is File -> Quit.
The display gets its data the same way as the other displays, so if we aren't
in a TDRSS contact, the display will not update.
Data shown:
- Universal Time
- MET (Mission Elapsed Time): this is specific to RXTE, units are seconds.
- RA, Dec, Roll Bias: pointing of the PCA instrument. These are usually off by as much as a tenth of a degree. Don't worry.
- Longitude, Latitude, Altitude: where RXTE is in its orbit.
Options buttons:
File:
- Connect [not implemented, connections are automatic]
- Credits
- Quit [quits the window.]
Display:
- 10 Second Update [default, and in fact, your only choice]
- 5 Second Update [not implemented]
- 1 Second Update [not implemented]
- Spam Me! [not implemented]
Window:
- Quaternions [this works, if you're really interested in quaternions, for some reason]
- Occultation Status [not implemented]
- Boresight values [not implemented]
- Statistics [not implemented]
Help:
- [None of the help listings have been implemented.]
